Ordered my Early Classic sprindles today! Wanna drop? Come inside :)
The part number is #01-7172 and they are the 2.5" drop.
For you guys that are thinking about lowering your trucks you should hold off for a few weeks if possible. I'm going to do a well-written review on them complete with pictures The price is very reasonable, $269 for the pair. If you guys want to keep in touch with me throughout the progress of my spindle project you can email me at bopseth@aol.com and I will add you to a mailing list They'll be here next week so I'll let you all know when they come in. ------------------ Webmaster: www.GMPerformance.org

I'd like to drop mine too. I've already done the 3 inch spring drop, would like to go another 2 inches and notch the rear. Make sure that you post plenty of pics!!!

Colin...i dont think you have anything to worry about with the Early Classics kit. I purchased the 4/6 drop kit from them and it bolted right up with no troubles what so ever. They make some of the nicest aftermarket parts out there, in my opinion. There spindles are machined by them and all their brackets and other "bolt on" parts fit well and are powder coated.

well,
i installed the spindles today with my Dad. I took like 25 pictures of the install, making sure to show parts used, etc. I doublechecked to make sure each picture was on my camera, got home and hooked up my camera to the USB cable and WindowsXP and then WindowsXP corrupted my memory card. I lost all of the pictures I'm pretty upset about that. I can say one thing, I will take more tomorrow. The spindles are excellant quality and definitely worth the 300 bucks I spent. I'll take some pics of the finish of the metal, etc tomorrow. Sorry guys Colin ------------------ Webmaster: www.GMPerformance.org

Colin,
Don't mean to get off topic. However I just went through this problem with Windows XP and memory cards. I read a tech article that says "dont use the delete pictures from camera option when using the picture download utility in XP". "It will corrupt your card. only delete the pictures off the card using the camera delete pix function on the camera". I messed up several cards doing this before I learned. I have had no problems after reading the article. Sorry about losing the pix! That blows!!
