spare tire relocator for rollpan
Currently my 85 just has the spare laying loose in the bed and I was wondering if anyone makes a spare tire relocator for trucks like ours with a steel rollpan. I would like to get the tire back under the truck if I could. My truck doesnt have any of the factory spare bracketry....do I need this with the kit?

Hey at least you have room to relocate. On my 77 we decided the spare tire would get drug off anyway so we put the air tanks back there. I put a small tire on a stock steel rim and throw it in the back for road trips.
I bought a jack out of a 88-99 GM truck because they had scissor jacks. It will get under the truck when it's aired out.... |

My spare is chained to my bed rail. The chain is so rusty I doubt the padlock will come off, that's if I can find the key. Oh well, the spare goes flat in a day anyways The jacks behind the seat

its all about weight reduction. that 35 pounds you took off must add 200 hp to the rear wheels.

You're old that's why.
I've only seen a relocator for the 88-current trucks and it's just a piece of angle with one bend. Maybe you could build something at your job similiar. |
