Need engine ID'ed

The number on the front is V0110USC (in large numbers). It also has CD5776843 (in small numbers) on the front. Should be small block, poss 350, poss around 1980. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Cadpowered

look here...........

Looks like a 1983 350 truck motor.

Use the "USC" part of the code to find the info.

Get the casting number off the block. That'll help in conbination with the numbers you already have.

The casting number will be on a small flat area behind the driver's side head. It's not facing the back of the vehicle (like on the back of the block) but instead is facing up. Where the bellhousing of the transmission bolts to the engine the engine is actually flanged out a bit. It's on the flange part.

You should find something like:

3970010

I used some brake cleaner, a rag, a small shaving mirror, and a flashlight to see mine. Oil can sit on that flat area, and sludge it up.

Good luck.
