who has a custom steering column and how hard of an install was it and do you like it?

just wondering whats out there. figured i might as well stick a nice one in there while i can

I have a 67 and i bought a tilt column out of a 72 and it installed no problem. If i had the $ i would have gone with an IDIDIT column because they mount a little tighter to the dash giving you about another inch or two from the wheel. Ive also seem some cool features on these columns like lever controls for your dimmer switch and cruise control. Ive seen them on a couple of members trucks here, mabey someone who has one will post up for ya.

I sell these. They are stainless! They are made for our trucks, so they bolt in and look better because they are made in the same style as our originals. I do have some changes made so they fit better than the standard model.
One is polished & chrome...next is "paintable" stainless...and last is OEM. You can contact me for more details.

usually 3 speeds were on the tree (column) but there are such things as manual trans tilts with no auto shifter on them, but they are $$$ items.

Top column:Polished/chrome): $630
2nd: $530

Floor shift (Polished): $495
Floor shift (Mat finish): $396

Note: The small bright section was polished here on a small bench grinder & buffing wheel. You can get a good job doing it yourself, but when it is done professionally...it looks like chrome!

I installed a flaming river chrome columb in my 69. No problems and looks great.
