Oil Filter for SBC 350

OK, I am still learning this Chevy stuff, man I need my Pontiac now...

I ordered some parts on line and bought two oil filters for the 72 Cheyenne and they sent me AC Delco PF1218S. Hmm, does this sound right? I looked up but can't be sure. They say "can also be used" in lieu of PF35 or PH30 (Fram).

As long as the seal lines up properly you shouldn't have a problem. If I get a filter that looks different I just take the old and new filters and butt the gaskets against each other to make sure the new one has the same diameter seal. If not you'll be blowing out oil.

yeah that's right. 1218 is the new AC number. I was a little thrown off when I got mine. Rest assured it works. It's on my new 350HO

Thanks, I hate taking the old one off and then discovering the new one don't work. Not like you can go to the local FIAT parts house and get a SBC filter.
