Progress on my 1967 C-10

Finally got to work on the 67 today. I have been trying to get the 250 installed in it for some time now. Today the weather was a beautiful 40 degrees and it didn't feel bad at all.

Does anybody else have this engine sling in the pictures? I believe it is ATD. THE BEST TOOL I have ever purchased. It was under $40 a few years ago. It is so easy to install an engine and transmission as 1 unit rather than trying to get them mated together in the vehicle. Mrs. Da-burb was the assistant mechanic today. It couldn't have been an easier install. I set the engine in there and all 4 motor mount and tranny mount bolts were lined up. A few minutes later it was bolted in.

You warm weather guys should like this. How do you dry paint when it is below freezing in the shop. You fire up the ol' kerosene heater and put a blankie over the engine to trap the heat and dry the paint, that's how. Would this be a factory block heater?? Very rare indeed.

They are pretty handy, one came with my Sam's Club special engine hoist when I bought it.

That engine looks nice!
