Wider radiator saddles to mount 4 core
My '72 had a 2 core radiator and I just bought a 4 core (wider) radiator. It won't fit the saddles with the rubber inserts. Where do I get the wider saddles? Anyone have any from a big block truck? Thanks, Kurt

I got mine from the local Chevy dealer. Their price was about 2 bucks lower than LMC's and no shipping. So check out your dealer

GMCPauls has them...just make sure you let whoever you get
the from, you have a 4-core radiator. Also note, you will most likely have to notch out the bottom of the core support to allow the bracket to fit properly...I used a die grinder to notch mine out. YOu will know exactly what I mean when you try to install the bigger mounts. Just make sure you order all the brackets and 4-new rubber mounts.

I just did this yesterday. Bubba green is right you'll have to notch the support so they fit. If you drill the spot welds out from the bottom the old ones just fall out and you can weld the new ones in where you drilled the holes at.
