'57 Grille New or Used?
If you want new, they aren't out yet. Supposedly GM has authorized a limited run or reproduction grilles for the 1957 pickup 3000 series. GMC Paul's is one vendor who is expecting to receive some. As well as other '47-'72 Chevy parts vendors. As for now, the only option for a '57 grille is to find a used one. And even those are hard to come by. I have two right now, but am going to get one chromed soon and keep the other as a spare. The chrome platers prefer to work with grilles that have never been plated. So find an good dent free used grill that was painted cream (they all were cream colored once), and send it to a reputable plater. Platers that are any good, stand behind thier work with a warrenty of at least 3-years. Check around with local Hot Rod Clubs to find a good plater. If it is only a beater and you want a beat up grille, then find all the "parts wanted" ads you can on the internet sites and post a request. Someone has one they will part with - if you are wiling to pay thier price! mtcw. rico_bob
