Do I get my frame straightened, or buy another...?

I have a 1969 or 70 SWB 2wd frame already, but the front is bent real bad... the shop wants $700 to straighten it.... do i have it straightened, or do i look for another SWB frame...?

I bought a '69 SWB 2WD rolling frame for $150 about 1-1/2 years ago. You should be able to get a much better price than $700 for a good frame.

Fix it redneck style... its funner that way. Just take an afternoon with a torch, portapower, comealong, and a pettibone helps too Git er close and call er good! We gotta do this alot with enduro cars.

Seriously, I would follow mocwon's advice and get another frame just to save a headache.

A short frame is worth about 250 or so around here.

I never fix them if they are bent much, it's too easy to just replace it with another.

If you want to come to Florida i'll sell you a swb frame fresh off a Gen2 frame machine for 300.00 with computer print out that matches that frame. It's 82 degrees today.

I say look for another. You should be able to get a rolling chassis for alot less than that.

I'd find another shop or get another frame also.
