WTB - Bed/Box, Tailgate, LH Door, other parts, etc.
Great site folks!
We (I'm DTerry's dad) are looking for a bunch of parts to restore his 70 GMC LWB Fleetside. He's on a low budget - so aftermarket parts are looking too expensive. Parts must be within 4 hours (mapquest time) of ZIP code 13748 OR capable of shipping to this zip. Parts must be in good restorable condition (no holes - no bondo - some surface rust OK). Here's the list of what we're currently looking for. 1. Complete LWB FS box 2. Tailgate ** 3. Drivers side door 4. Rear roll pan 5. Parts needed to convert '70 GMC to '70 Chevy grill. ** We are actually thinking of removing all badges off this GMC 3/4 ton and making a lowered chevy 1/2 clone. The suspension is phase II of this project and will be looking to spend what we have left on that after the body is complete. If anyone has info on the tailgate covers and handle relocation thing, I'd be interested in hearing thoughts. |

I have a 69 gmc that I'm parting out. It's from AZ, It's rust free. The frame is really clean and it's a 1/2 ton. Using this frame would alot easy then converting from 3/4to 1/2. The bed is rust free , the header panel is straight. I'm 5 1/2 hours from you, my zip is 16055. I know that it's over 4 hours, but I'm just throwing out to you. My cell # is 724-309-8991. I work different shifts, so if you leave a message, I will return you call.

bed/truck
I used to own the truck Hugger has. It is a very nice rust-free piece. I wish I could have kept it. I have to agree with him. It may be cheaper to swap everything over. Just a thought.

Beds
Two Colorado beds in Pittsburgh. One with twin tanks one stock. Sides are excellent, front panel same, floor has square rust above rear support on floor, about 2" x 2", two places. Not beat up but definately user friendly.
$400 for twin tank $475 for stock, 1 has gate, but it is only fair, has some rust though. Email for pics. |

Beds
You can email me or PM with an email address to send some pics. I can get more pics of specific areas. My prices were asking prices. Decent beds but not a rust free specimen. Problems were light surface underneath, and two small rust spots above the rear support on the floor. Gate was fair to poor, aftermarket or rust free used might be better. Parts in Pittsburgh area. One bed had western dual tanks, the other original with no add on tanks.
