33" tires for dually rims
I was planning on converting my 70 to a dually and want to keep the tire height in the 33-35 range. The rims I currently have are 16.5x6.5 what tires would fit these and give me the height? I saw the 34x9.5/16.5 super swampers, but was thinking there has to be more than that.
If I could find a dually front I'd have all 6 tires the same but for now I'd stay with the cement truck look. I have 33" swampers on 15x10 or the 35" BFGs on 15x10 up front. I do have some 16.5x8.25 rims I could also use up front, they have 33" tires on them.

On my 88 Chevy dually I was going to run the Super swamper ltb. The hard part is when the tires go taller they get wider. Very few tires are narrow so the possibilities are limited. You can put a spacer in between the duals to keep them from rubbing. There are companys that build wider wheels for duallys and Mudder has the right guy to contact for those. As for a dually front axle they are on ebay all the time. Expensive but there. Hope this helps.

That looks good! I might go ahead and order two 34" TSLs and see how they fit.

Hey Randy, I think I'm going to have to rethink this. The axle I'm using came from a cab and chassis truck so it is narrow and the rims can not be any wider. I think I'll concentrate on finding a H052 center w/ 4.10 gears and go with the 32" tires. Thanks.

255/85x16s are 33" and narrow enough to fit stock rims.Wider Budds will have to be fabricated, then spacers and longer studs.Years ago I ran 9.00x16s with the 2 latter mods.
