Picked up an 87 shorty

Well it's pretty clean a few blems:

Interior: Small crack on the dash all else perfect non smoker. 2 small tears on the seat.

Exterior. One small hole on both inner wheel wells. One heavy scratch on the side, the very bottom of the whole truck is starting to show some bubbles. My opinion it's been sitting too long.

Engine is a 6 very stong and more power than I expected. All the gears work and it seems to shift fine.

First on my list is remove the mud flaps.

Tonneau cover I like the hinged soft ones.

In the spring: Those 235/75/15's are great for the winter but, I'm thinking of dropping it 2/2 and running a wider tire. Any thoughts on the white ralley rims. I like them just not the color Black or dark silver????

First problem is the delay wiper is not working. It worked for about an hour. Thoughts???

Oh, I would really like a sport bumper for the rear.

Everyone around here says the control module for the wiper delay is what causes all of the problems. It is under the dash by the steering column. It is black plastic and an aluminum heatsink. I still need to get around to changing mine...

I like the wheels, but I like them in the stock silver. That is what I have on mine. A 255/70/15 or a 275/60/15 will be about the same height, and will fit those wheels well if they are 8 inch pickup wheels. I have the 255/70/15s on mine, and they fit well.

heh "non smoker". I been driving red since april, and i always got the winders down, and it STILL smells like an ashtray (even though only thing in the ashtray is some, uh, protection). Guess twenty some odd years of a chimney pipe.....

How do I tell the trim??

The visor wasn't a big selling piont for me, but it'll stay there till the next paint job along witht the dumbo ears unless. I can pop those ears off and the paint looks ok. How do they mount???? I love the spot mirrors on these trucks

I'd do the rallys in a gunmetal color like mine (a little darker than your truck), some wider tires, and get a Blazer/Suburban bumper.

I think you are going to have to wait to get smaller mirrors because the base of the dumbo mirrors is bigger than the smaller chrome or sport mirrors, and it will show.

cliffsta - Why don't you steam clean your carpet and seat(s). My wife has a small bissel cleaner (for stairs) that would work.

OH, I read the dash "custom deluxe"

Gunmetal that's the color I was thinking.. The only reason I thought black was to off set them a little. I wasn't sure if the silver/silver would look good.

Well it passed inspection. I needed to add a cat.

New problem, Hard start when it's cold out.
