headlights don't work??

I just can't seem to get my headlights on. I turn on the light switch and all of the other lights work except the headlights. I replaced both with new headlight bulbs and still nothing. I think that I checked the wiring and it all looks good. I thought that it might be the ground (wire that goes to the fender but that looks OK). I looked at the fuses and there is no fuse for headlights, unless i'm missing something here.
Does anybody have an answer for this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Larry

Dimmer switch.

Pull the connector to it and jumper it to see if that is the culprit.

Hey CPNE, by dimmer switch do you mean the high beam switch on the floor or the actual light switch? If you do mean the light switch, what is the easiest way to get it off?

Sorry, I know that it's probably a stupid question.

Thanks CPNE, that's what I thought that you meant.

I think that you might be right on that one. I could swear that when I hit it a couple of times a couple of weeks ago that they briefly turned on. I thought that maybe I was just seeing things though.

not so sensitive, but after 305 years of getting kicked and soaked, they tend to go bad.
Look at the connections real good. The harness plug may be junk too.

Mine did the same thing kinda turnt an ugly shade of green and rust down there. New plug and dimmer switch fixed it right up. I would be driving and try to switch from high to low or the other way and loose the lights all together.

Yup, that seems to have been the problem. I took the old one out and put a new one in. At first it didn't work, I took it off again and blew some dust and dirt and stuff out of the terminal. I had to repeat this step several times before it finally worked.
Thanks alot CPNE and the rest of you guys. You're the greatest
