What tire size
Gotta put on new tires on my 72 1/2 lwb what is preferred?
235/70/r15 or 235/75/r15

You likely could go with 235x60x15" tires.

It would drop it a little...235x70x15 are close to the G78x15 these trucks (C10) came with. So if you want to remain close to stock then 235x70x15 is the way to go.

For what its worth, I like a 255/70/15. A little bit wider, but the same overall diameter as stock. Works great on 8 inch wide rims, maybe a little bit fat for 7 inchers.
I always thought the 235/70/15s look too short for our trucks, especially with no lowering.

I like the 275-60-15 on a set of 8" ralley wheels, they are hard to beat, and fill out the fender wells nicely and are very close to the original g78-15 height.

275/60 fit nicely on the front, but are way to skinny for the rear that s why mine has 33x18.50,plus it gives it a nice stance.

Here is a sample of a tire chart size conversion chart I made up. I got the idea from a fellow board member, Tom. It basicaly converts the metric (mm) units to inches. It gives the sidewall height and overall diameter. You just type in your wheel/tire diameter and it lists all the different combinations (some probably don't even exist). It came in pretty handy when I was choosing my tires sizes. If you are interested, let me know, and I'll e-mail it to you. Oh, it's an Excel spreadsheet by the way.
