The underdash light harness just plugs into the fuseblock and the other dome light wire piggy backs into it.

Thanks guys, I have about 10 diff wiring diagrams and none really show it. Does anybody have a set installed? What I need is to know how all the plugs go together? Dome, cargo, courtesy lights all have the same type plugs. I think just like the guys said they piggyback each other, but does anybody know how? thanks again.

I have a set installed in my blazer it looks like the hardest thing to accomplish would be putting in the door jamb switch. I can crawl under the dash when it gets light out if you need some pic's. Just let me know..

I am re-wiring as well....here you go.
First pic shows how it goes into the block, and how the door switch wires (white) run. Second pic shows how the light harness plugs in.

What about the odd size plug with 3 connectors? All of the plugs are pretty much the same male female, but this one small, flat, odd plug with 3 conn. Can't find anything to match.

Also I'm thinking the lights mount on either side close to doors?

I have the wiring harness torn out of my project truck sitting right behind me and it has the courtesty door jam lights in it. i will take pictures of it for you hopefully tomorrow of the connections. I don't have the AAA batteries for my camera right now. I can hopefully lay it down on the floor and get it all in one shot and then label the wires for ya.

Yes, the lights have clips and they attach under the dash at both drivers and passengers side.

No its not a Z71 LOL, I don't know how many people asked me if that old truck was 4X4 and that they didn't know they made them that long ago. My nicknames Worm and its a 71 but everything was taken for plates wise that i wanted so Wrmz71 is what i got. But anyway here are the pics. Sorry about the quality of the pictures but hey what can you expect from a 10 dollar webcam/ digital camera from wally world? Theres a few of em here as i tried to take pictures of all the connections where they end up at. If you need anything else let me know and i'll see what i can't conjure up.

some more. Describing these pictures starting with the 1st one in the previous post. the 1st one is a picture of the whole harness. The 2nd one shows the dome light side of the wiring harness. The 3rd shows the door jamb switches and wiring themselves. 4th is the cargo light wiring. The 2 spade connectors are for a ground and the hot i imagine. The 5th one is a close up of the plug that will be plugged in to make all this work. The 1st one on this post is another close up of said plugin. the next isof the cargo light connectors. the 3rd is a close up of the door jam switches. notice that the wire does come apart. Be aware that these htings are usually crust and you'll usually break the wire before the connection comes apart. i got luck here as the wire didn't break. The 4th one here is yet another picture of the plug in and wires. i think this plug goes into the fusebox but i can't remember for sure exactly. The last pic is all my crap that i will have to TLC up to get my cab put back together and going hopefully next spring. Like i said before if you need anymore close ups on something let me know and i'll see if i can't get you the most decent pic i can get.
