Ok, 38's are off the plan... back to the drawing board.
After the 3" body and test fitting the 38 truxus STS's, I did not like how it looked. Not the look I was going for. Tires are too wide for my taste and probably a little too modern for my old K5. I am putting the call out, I have decided to stick with a 35 or 36 x 12 or 13 wide.
If anyone in socal wants some BIG meats, let's talk. If you have 35s or 36s on some decent rims and you want to upgrade to 38's, let's talk. I am looking for an equal trade OR enough $$$ to get some MT/Rs. I would value the 38's on ARE Diamond Locks at a FAIR price of $1200. Ah well, things change.

You don't like the tires or the wheels or both? Are you ditching the body lift then?
Personally, I wouldn't want anything over 35's for a daily driver. The streets and parking are just too tight around here to want to deal with something that tall on a daily basis. The smaller tires will be a better fit with your running gear too.

No, I will keep the body lift since it is near completion. I just will not install the 6" springs at this time.
I don't like the tires in particular, but I would keep the rims with them to sell/trade as a set for a like set of 35s. If someone just wanted to swap tires and keep rims, I would definitely consider it. Definitely agree on the running gear part... To be honest? Another factor in my decision, is I don't think the old girl can handle 38's. The more I get into her the more I find things are pretty well worn and it's just unsafe at this point.

Go with the 6"lift/lose the body lift,IMO.

If the bumpers are raised, gaps filled and the BL has been installed correctly I think it is very nice looking... I think sometimes too much spring lift looks out of proportion- especially with the weenie looking 1/2 ton running gear underneath. I am not the only one who feels this way... A lot of my friends, even though they can afford all spring and suspension lifts choose body lifts to balance the height out.

I`ve done combination lifts before.My`71 had 4"springs/3"body lift.&37"SuperSwampers.But if I was only doing one,I`d do springs.I agree,a whole lot of suspension lift,especially with light running gear looks wirey and frail.
