Question 1 piece Drive Line

I am in the process of taking the old truck 4-speed out and putting in A TH400. I am getting rid of the 2 piece drive line and going for the single unit. "70 short bed". Is there A drive line out of another car that will bolt right in that I can get from the salvage yard. Has anybody done this MOD?? Thank You!!!!!!!!!

Gary

Thanks for the reply Randy. Did you have to get it shortened? Was it A direct bolt in.

Classic performance products has a driveshaft that will probably work, if you are looking for new parts.

70short - Is the th400 a fixed yoke or a slip yoke? If it is a fixed yoke you will be wasting your time to find a shaft from a th350 car or truck.

Randy,

Do you know if that will work with a 700R4 as well? Thanks, Greg
