Ignition Switch
Just got a new ignition switch but i can't quite figure out how to get the old ignition off. Does anyone know?

Insert your key and turn it to the left. Then insert a straightened paper clip, or better yet, a small allen wrench into the pin hole on the face of the switch. Wiggle the key, turn it more to the left, and mybe cuss a little, (you ALWAYS have to cuss a little) and it should pop out into your hand.

Yup, I think so.
If I remember correctly you turn the switch to the accessory position. On the front of the switch there is a "pin hole". Straighten a paper clip and push it into the hole while at the same time pulling back on the key.
Reverse the procedure to reinstall. Hope that's right - goin from memory, and at my age, it doesn't always give sure fire results! Cheers |
