Painting Stepside Bedrails
I have a question for stepside owners or a painter. I have painted vehicles before and they came out nice...no runs. I want to paint my 67 but I don't know what to do about the bedrails. They had surface rust on them underneath and in the "rolled" area. I sanded them the best I could by hand and turned a spray can of rust killer then primer in all sorts of directions trying to cover the area. I know the rust will come back if I don't squirt some paint in there, my question is how? Do most people not even bother? Any ideas??? Also, what about sanding/getting paint into the bedside pockets and the stake pockets?? Has anyone addressed these issues or just let them be??? I know they didn't bother from the factory, but I'm picky.

I'm not sure but I'd like some suggestions too. Might have better luck asking this on the paint and body section but a ttt for ya' anyway.
