I'm a fan of the longbeds too.They look way better I think.Nice solid looking truck.

Welcome to the board. Nice start on truck. I agree with the others, don't shorten it. It's too nice to mess up. personally I would say keep the spare too, but then I'm prejudice in that view.

And by the way, excellent first post - some story, a location, a proposed plan that got folks here weighing in, and good pics, to boot!

I like the long steps personally - unique factor, makes folks take a second look. But it's your truck. Just keep it .

Yeah, long steps are nice. I don't see many of those, I see more short steps and long fleets than anything.
