heater cable question

i tore my 82 C10 apart almost 3 years ago, and apparently i forgot to mark which heater cable goes where. now i'm trying to put the heater box in my 86. does anybody know which cable goes where?

Is yours a 2 cable or 3? The "hot/cold" cable goes to the flopper door between the firewall & the cab. I went and looked at mine but its the POS hose type..corn

The shorter cable goes to right below the ash tray.
The longer cable goes to behind the glove box.
If you need some pics I try to get some tonight.

Yeah corns right, the hot/cold is for the one behind th glove box.
The heat/defrost one is for the one behind the ash tray.

they're both still attached to the box, just not to the control. havent had time to mess with it, but im sure armed with the info you guys provided, i can get er workin.
