E-Bay rant

Maybe it's just me, but I'm getting pretty sick of people selling truck parts on E-bay and not knowing what they are talking about. I can't even count the number of times I've been searching for a front fender, for my 67, and I click on a link for a 67 fender and the picture comes up as a 69-72 fender that "will fit" a 67-72. It's even worse then they say a 72 grill "will fit" a 67-72 or that you can put a '68 core support in a 67-72 because it "will fit." True, a 72 grill "will fit" a 67-68....IF you have 69-72 front fenders AND core support AND hood. My favorite was a 72 style scrolled door panel that "came off" a 69 "CST" and, of course, "will fit" a 67-72. I'm sure it "came off" a 69, but someone put it there, AND you need 72 window and door regulators to make it work. I can understand if it was a few random people now and then, but I spent about an hour on e-bay last night trying to find some cheap parts for my truck, but this theme occurred REPEATEDLY! Does this not annoy the heck out of anyone else??? Anyway, Happy Holidays y'all!!!! Have a safe and merry Christmas!

It really sucks for those of us who can't tell if it is the right one or not from the picture. Then we get a part that is supposed to fit our truck and it won't. Luckily this hasn't happened to me yet since I haven't bought anything off of ebay....... yet.

Think about it. E-bay provides a venue for any person to sell just about anything. Intelligence and accuracy in descriptions are not required to list. It is a choice we make to buy off E-bay. For the most part it works pretty well. Wouldn't we all have liked to have been in at the beginning ($$$$$).

The key to E-bay is "Caveat emptor" or "let the buyer beware".

I got a friend who sells mtorcycle parts on ebay lots..he uses the word Chopper in his ads....that seems to make buyer think its worth 3 x as much...lol...chopper part..oooooo..... chopper parts.

I dont like seeing 67-72 chevy truck parts and its not. Drives me nuts... I use to write the seller and tell them its this and not that. Got fed up with their ignorance.

I see even a clown who use to be a member selling stuff as 67-72 parts... and there not. He he should know that..and I'm sure he does....its just fraudulent nonsense.

Watch the language some sellers use...fits 67-72 truck...well I can make Volvo parts fit a truck too. Still not correct.
