My steering column bores me and my steering wheel is cracked and broken. I have seen a billet column dress up kit in LMC that includes a flasher knob, turn signal lever, tilt lever (no tilt so wouldn't need) and a column shift knob. It looks like a nice kit, but has anyone ever used it? Also they sell a billet 4 spoke leather wrapped steering wheel that looks really sharp. Has anyone ever used that? I was thinking about the 4 spoke version. 300 bucks sounds a little steep for the wheel, so is there anywhere that would sell it cheaper? Thanks.

I got my colum dress up kit on ebay for $20 and i got my aluminum apc half leather wrapped steering wheel on ebay for $75. I would check around for better deals. I saw the $300 wheels and they dont look any different than the $75 ones.

I have the LMC catalog and know EXACTLY what wheel your talking about....I LOVE that wheel, but I can't justify the steep cost.

The difference in the $300 + wheels are they are made from true billet material ... the $75 models are made from cast.

Big difference in raw material prices and quality.

I have the billet dress up kit on my column and it looks great and is an easy install the only thing that looks a little funny is where the automatic shifter goes into the column doesnt really look finished. and i have the arp billet wheel. Happy Holidays!

I actually like this kit here and may just go with it. What's everyone think? I like the idea of the full shifter rather than just the knob. Is the shifter remove/replace as simple as pounding the old roll pin out, switching shifters and pounding the new roll pin in with the new shifter? What about the signal arm?

67ChevyRedneck, I have to agree with you on that wheel. It looks great, but I can't justify spending 1/3 the price of the truck I bought on just a steering wheel. I may go with a vintage corvette one too, like the foam styled one at the top of the page in the LMC catalog, but I'm not sure how well the foam would hold up in a truck that's going to get used for work some.

I don't think that shift arm fits our columns.

I have a real nice full set with the short shift arm for smaller wheels...but it is only made for our TILT columns. Price is reduced to $125.

I don't know of any for our non-tilt column's shift arms.

Yeah, I don't think that the little hazard flasher does either. Mine is a little square skinny red plastic thing that doesn't look like it just screws off. I think I'll pass on that deal. Maybe I will just go with the LMC kit.
