Maybe I missed something. Estimate for what?

If for value I say $500.00 without being able to see pictures or knowing location. Sorry, Varies greatly on location and what truck looks like.

Well I see you said pefect in another thread. Not sure what your defination of perfect may be though. A truly perfect stock truck would be worth what someone would pay for it. Perfect means no rust, low mileage, no dents, no paint flaws, shiny, glossy paint, no fluid leaks, little or no wear on drivetrain, glass without pits, scratchs or cracks etc etc etc. Very few stock (if any at all) would be defined as perfect.

What it costs though? Well they were roughly 2500 or so new in 69.

Post some pics for a more accurate answer. Too many variables involved without them. It sounds like a nice truck.

well there is one miniscule paint scratch on the tailgate, planing on rebuilding the engine. Still runs great little over 90,000 miles, everything is stock have'nt had it washed yet, all instruments work fine. It's probably close to perfect. I was just wondering I DON"T WANT TO SELL IT!!!.
I'll try to get some pictures as soon as I can.

Take a cyber trip to NADA.com and check for yourself if you can believe them.

Seriously... these can't be priced like the '99 Pontiac in the driveway. They're worth what someone's willing to pay. Since you're not planning to sell it, it's worth a fortune. If you're trying to insure it for replacement value, get it appraised by a pro.

Question Why the big difference?

I am shocked at the difference in values between the above web site and NADA value. WTF, Take the two and split the difference I guess! The above site does not seem to allow extra for 4wds. They only made between 5-7% of all the 3 million trucks as 4x4s so I have read. IMO that should add value.

It would seem that Nada is geared for the seller and the other link posted above is more for the buyer. The old addage it is worth what the buyer is willing to pay must be true. Blazers should be close to the same value as well.

You left the most important piece of information on the decal off.....what wheelbase is it?

Here in Texas, a shortbed is worth about twice what a longbed is.

Mike, I don't know. This part of the world is full of shortbed trucks to start with. You see them all over the place, sitting behind houses or in fields.

Texas seems to have two main kinds of trucks, nicely optioned long beds or stripped shortbeds. Guys usually buy a 6 cylinder 3 speed shortbed for cheap and then part out a longbed to get the V8, auto, nice A/C cab or whatever they want to build up their dream short bed truck.

Selling price for a good rust free rolling short chassis is about 250 bucks around here or about 1000 to 2000 for a plain jane short bed driver truck.

The only guys I know of who cut a longbed truck are guys with a special sentimental attachment to the truck.

Thanks for being helpful as always. I need to take a trip south to see all those shortbed trucks. I would love to pick up a shorty for around a 1000. It would save a good longbed frame. I know a guy up here who is cutting one down and I have been considering the same option. Did you ever consider buying and selling as a hobby
since you are in a prime rust free area?

Cutting-down a frame is a difficult way to go.With patience,a short frame(or truck) will come along.After you cut a frame,you`re left with a tougher task:finding a good 6`bed.There`s more 6`frames than beds.I looked at a 6`Fleetside Cheyenne4wd.It had 8 lugs,lifted,35s,way sweet.Asking price wad $13,000.I would have bought it,but...It had a cut-down frame.Not a real SWB.Worth 1/2 the price to me.Only`cause it was so fresh and nice.Guys don`t realize,the way they come from the factory is the starting point on value.You can"create"anything.What sets the"hi-end"are trucks like:`72CheyenneSuper6`Fleetside,402,TH400,Posi,Tilt,Tach,A/C,Buckets,Wood floor,Solid Black,&Red Interior.You can take a stripped truck`n`add everything.I`d own it,not for same price.
