stock radio install
Help i have the stock radio with 2 jambnuts 2 control knobs and 2 selector knobs the radio shafts dont stick out far enough to put the nuts on am i missing a peice?? photo anyone?

the stock radio also had two cups to help hold it in place.....that shouldnt keep it from not sticking out the hole.

i'm sorry the shaft sticks out the hole but the threads are not out far enough to get a nut started are the cups you have threaded?.

The cups you are looking for are recessed back into the dash, which will provide plenty threads for the jam nuts to hold onto. I will try to locate a picture for you....or if someone else has a photo of the cups....then it will as clear as day...

Bam. Thanks 71swb4X4.....that is the photo....just install those cups in the holes so they recess toward the engine, and the nuts will go right on.

on a shorter note...you can get away with only one cup,if the radio is fastened at the rear to the dash..I know,cause when pulling my radio from a junker,i dropped one through the floor and never did find it.....
