Question of value

This might be more for the northeast guys . I looked at a 72 2wd longbed 350/350 auto ac custom cab rear coil spring with helpers wood bed . for the most part untampered with just paint and some minor stuff . Body condition is fair to decent it needs rockers floor pan on driverside . Body mounts are good as well as corners . the right side bed side is pushed from the rear and the bed hit the cab causing a fair amount of damage . The po wants 1500 for it i think it might be more sentamental value than anything else . thi truck is running and drives . you guys think its worth the money ? I know its hard to say without pics but shout out what you think most of you have seen enough of these to know what type of work this thing needs .sorry for the long post .

sounds like it needs lots of work.I have bought trucks that need less work for cheaper.Rust repair is and body work adds up fast if you have to farm it out.If it has lots of options in it,maybe worth it.I am not trying to turn you off from buying it,but I would offer less for it.just my $0.02

I agree it isnt highly optioned but he has it listed for 1800 wich in my opion is way too much i was going to call him tomorrow and offer him my number of 1000-1200 and tell him to call me if he would consider it . It never hurts to ask i think he would take it i found alot of rust looking it over that he didnt even realize it had .I might even shoot lower but i hate to insult the guy .

that is what i had in mind for it too.The a/c trucks are hard to find up here in canada.I have only seen one.It is rusty and has no engine or trans in it.I bought it for 200 bucks, but it is way rustier than the one you have found. It needs floors, rockers, cab supports, cab corners, and doors.I hope this helps

The cost of the bed and cab work alone is substantial, not to mention all the things you don't see. Sounds like a truck you'd only want because it was a screaming deal. $1500 isn't screaming in my opinion.
