Glasspacks, Flow Masters, Magnaflow.. Which is best??

i want that deep LOUD sound which would be better for my 76 chevy 350 stock motor.

Well speaking from experience I have Glasspacks with small pipe probably 2"; And the thing doesn't have a deep sound to it. It has that raspy cackel sound to it. But Ive also heard trucks with bigger pipe and glasspacks and it honestly doesn't sound to bad. Flowmaster's sound good but are kinda restrictive. Now Magnaflow on the other hand is a very good sounding exhaust. When it comes time for the exhaust for my HD it will be getting a Magnaflow (Hands Down)! Also when it comes time for the new system on my 78 it will also be getting. Yeap you guessed it (MAGNAFLOW)...Later Mike

There are several threads on the message board about exhaust (which is probably where this one should be rather than the parts forum), but I'll give you my .02. I'm running true duals from stock manifolds, 2 1/4" pipe (I think), no cats, Flowmaster Deltaflow 40's, and some fairly small echo tips. I think they sound very nice. I have them turned out behind the rear wheels in the "stock" location. I have a LWB and they are not too loud in the cab, and IMO not to loud outside either.

There are about as many opinions on exhaust out there as you could read in a year. The best thing to do is to find some trucks around your area and listen to them to determine what you like.
