Cool tilt steering column wanted

I am looking for a tilt column with or without automatic shifter for 70 chev restore project. I am from southeastern Wash. state and would be willing to travel some distance for the right one. Also what other year columns might fit this truck? Thanks and I am glad I found this forum!

Tilt Column

Welcome from Tacoma. This is a great place!!

I have a van tilt column which many people use in their trucks. It looks just like the true truck tilts in the cab - no key on the col. (unlike the 73 and up trucks.) If you do a search on columns you will see all that needs to be done to fit the van column - it's really quite simple.

Thanks - Bob

great price

Great price on floor shift tilt of Joses. I agree on van tilt simple conversion too. I have one I'm going to try one of these days. (after I get some of my boxes of spare stuff I just tripped over gone)

First off...welcome from Spokane!! Good to see another enthusiast up here in WA state. I have a tilt van column (automatic) that I was going to convert and use, but have decided to go with a floor shifter instead. It is in good shape and tight. I had sanded it down and painted it, but since it has been sitting for a few months, it is a little scratched up again. If you are interested, let me know...probably looking at $130 & shipping!!

jose...if rollie is not interested in your tilt, I would be. I am looking for a floor shift with no key on the column. Thanks!!

OBSESIVE....When rollie makes his decision, we will go from there. It has not been modified for the new neutral safety switch, but there are detailed instructions on here on how to do it. I am likin' the mustang!! The truck is sweet too...I like that color combo and the new bed looks pretty cool too. Anyway, keep in touch and let me know what you decide.

I'm also looking for a no key/floor shift column, would like to keep it under $100, what year did you use Bob?
