Exclamation Pontiac 400 w/ tranny

Just bought a 1955 f100 that came with a Pontiac 400 and trans. I'm looking to sell it. It is complete from carb to pan and includes numerous chrome brackets and pulleys. It is currently blue and has m/t finned valve covers. Has a Holley double pumper carb. I don't know what the engine is out of,(possibly Bonneville) but I can probably get you numbers if you want. When I took off the valve covers, the engine is pretty clean inside. Turns freely. $300 takes it all. If you have an interest, please pm me and we can talk price or whatever else you may want to know.

on the center exhaust ports there should be a raised head casting number, what is the number? It might make figuring out what engine you have a little easier. It will be either a number and letter (like 4X or 6X) or two numbers (16, 48, etc.)

The heads are late 70's 400 heads (76-79). They were most commonly found on Trans Am's and Firebirds, but I think cars like the Grans Prix recieved them too. Those are about the best smog head offered by Pontiac, and are a good starting point for an unleaded friendly street engine with little work. Hope that helps.
