1972 chevy motorhome

Does anyone know where I can get more info on this vehicle? Just want to know how many were built and if there was any problems with them I should look out for. Thinking about buying one. Thanks.

I don't know how many were built. But when you look at them check the floors for soft spongy area's. The seals start to leak around the windows and top vents which causes the water to leak in and down to the floor. So many aftermarket RV companies made them and each brand would have it's own problems. If the unit is still together then it might have been a good unit. If you get 1 keep a cover on it to help it last. The class "C" motor homes are always running max weight so check the springs and brakes well. A board member was trying to sell 1 a few months ago in Washington or Oregon. Sorry I'm not much help on how many were built.

It would be hard,if not imposible to get a # on that. The factory just sold the cab &chassis.Various manufacturers built the camper bodies aftermarket.Brochures often show Open Road models.I`m thinking they may have had an arrangement w/GM.I`ve seen more of these than anyting else. This could be regional.I had a`70 CustomCamper/30(84"cab-axle)cab`n`chassis that originally had a Winebago on it.
