New stuff...Check these out! :)

Hey guys,

I was just checking out some new products that Proform is doing right now and I have found something that you guys might like.

I think these new light weight fabricated valve covers look so sweet...

What do you guys think??

A little out of my price range though. I was thinking more along the lines of this kit for mine. I really like it.

The only thing with the stamped type steel valve covers is they leak like a screen door on a submarine haha

I have always been a fan of the nice Die Cast valve covers as they seem not to leak as much

ahhhh. stamped steel. Missed that one in the description. I'm not a fan of that either. Corvette has cast magnesium, and ever since my new gaskets I haven't had a problem.

Hey,

What makes you say that Proform is Junk? I know some of the stuff that they make is a bit cheezy...But there again some of the stuff like these valve covers or the Race series Holley Double Pump carbs are super nice IMO.

I am just curious of your opinion.

Oh and on those 'other' valve covers....I bet they still leak like a screen door on a submarine

All of there parts are made in China..Not USA. I have used there distributor and stamped roller rockers in the past....lets just say..you get what you pay for. They do a pretty decent job of knocking off american no how. Why would you buy an overseas knock off holley..when for just a couple of bucks more, you can get the real thing? Demon carbs atleast used different molds for there carbs...

Hey,

I can understand what you are saying and the Chinese stuff. But in my case I would never use any of there stuff inside any of my motors....No matter how good anyone says it is.

I wouldn't have a problem on using the valve covers. It doesn't keep my motor running...

And about the carb. You have made some good points and I am considering doing some more research on them before I plunk down some good money for them. The reason that I was checking into them was because of the HP gains that I have heard from from using their main bodies.

Hey Big O.

Yeah I am doing well. Living out in the country in TN. Alot less stress than living in Charlotte.

My brother bought that 68 from me. At least he told me he wanted it. I bought a bit newer truck with some good options. 350/T350 PS, Pwr disc brakes and A/C.

I am not working at KK anymore...No I am working for a company called BASF.

Bobby and Lisa are still kicking....Just doing their thing I guess. Bobby got a 70 Camaro and a 97 Tahoe as of late. Both are very nice.
