What does a 2/4 drop look like?

Thinking about dropping my truck but i don't want it to be too low. does anyone have any pics of a truck that has a 2/4 drop? also, what is the most inexpensive (and safe) way to drop a truck, new coils?

Mine is a 2 1/2" and 4" drop. I cut the coils in the front but my rear end is leaf spring so i just took out leafs.

Stano and C10377, what size tires you guys using? I have 255/70/15 on right now, and am wondering if they will be too tall if i do the same drop as you guys. thanks.

sorry to steal thread but when you lower the truck beyons 2" must you use a drp spindle? whats the biggest rims you can fit on a 4"F 4"R drop

I'd be interested to know with a 2/4 drop if you measure to the top of the wheel arch on the centerline of the wheel how low is it? I recently installed some front coils that I'm assuming were cut and I measure 30.5" in the front with 34" in the rear with stock 1/2 ton coils. I have some new 3" drop springs on their way from GmcPauls so it should even it out some but still retain a small rake... By the way my tires are 245/70 16's.

HeavyD I got 225/70 or 75-15's in front and 285/75-15's in back.

I have 2" drop springs in the front and 4" drop springs in the rear.I paid about $100.00 for each set. I have 255/70 tires and they fit with no problems. My front fender measures 30.5" back is 31" If you look at yesterdays thread ubder RShaips 67/72 you can see a picture of it. I had someone post it for me.

I buy a lot of my parts from S & S Trucks he is a great guy who is located in Cape Girardeau Missouri. I used to travel that direction a lot and stop in and get parts. He ordered these for me. If I remember right I think the boxes said Brothers Truck parts? I have not driven very much since I have finished it (700-800 miles) but no problems at all. I originally cut one coil off the front springs and it dropped it about three inches and my front end would bottom out. I did not want that much drop anyway so I bought these. I have Dynomax Headers that go under the frame and still have plenty of room.

His name is Smitty 573-243-7576 I am about 99% sure thats the right number. He does have a lot of used stuff also depending on what your looking for. Tell him Rich in Augusta sent you, very good guy, great to deal with. He does make trips to St. Louis with parts sometimes.

You can get a very nice stance using 2.5" drop spindals and 2" drop front coils from Summit. Coils are re-boxed Ground Force springs for around $89.99.

I have a question for you guys that lowered your trucks (sorry for sorta stealing your thread). I plan I using my truck to tow my race car (72 chevelle) to the track and I love the look of the 2/4 drop (maybe like 2.5/3). But do you think that you could still pull a trailer with a drop like that?? Any input is greatly appreciated.

I used all Early Classic Enterprises parts in their 6 inch drop kit.

Here's the truck. I sold it to another board member about 2 months ago.
