Stupid Guy w/ an HEI

Alright, heres the story. I am putting a new 290hp Chevy long block in my 1972 C-10. I ordered an HEI through Jegs and I cannot figure out what I have or if it is even usable for my truck. On the new distributor I have the cap and rotor and on the side I have a wiring harness with a Black,Red ,and a Brown wire sticking out by thr vacuum advance. That is the only wiring coming out of the side. Where am I supposed to hook the power to? Does it go to the coil? All I have is the yellow and red with the pins and the black with the lugs. I have looked at all the previous post and cannot find the answer.

Those 3 wires plug into the distributor cap.

Then, you plug the 12v power wire to the cap also. It should be labeled on the cap where to plug the 12v if you look closely.
