Ok the brakes have never been what I would call great.The other day a hose burst on the front,and I changed it,and the master cylinder was leaking,so I changed it out as well.
Whern stopping the brakes are fine,but under hard braking,it's like the booster is weak,and after a split second the pedal feels softer,and the brakes apply harder.I have to let the pressure up to avoid lockup.
Is the proprtioning valve going,or the booster ,or something else?

COULD ALSO BE A BAD MC, WERE DID YOU BUY IT

I got it at oriellys.It works like I said,but seems really hard to push.
The MC is only a week old.And I did bench bleed it before i put it on.And all the old fluid has been changed also.

Is this your 71 or the 67? Need to know cause the 67 did not have a proportioning valve.
