anyone know how hard it is to put a colum from a 91 blazer w/ the wiper control on the colum into a 81 w/ wiper switch on the dash. we want to hav ethe switch on the colum control the wipers not the one on the dash.

I cannot see it being too tough. Just make sure you grab that part that goes from the rag joint down to the steering pump, they changed throughout the years. The column will otherwise bolt in physically. You may need to change the connectors on the column's wiring, I do believe they may have changed too. The wiring really shouldn't be all that tough to change

I'd like to have my wiper control on the column, but its not that big of a deal at this point in time...Later Mike

well me and a friend of mine are building up his 81 and we got a PERFECT dash and colum out of a 91 blazer and hw wants to swap it all. figured it would bolt up and i can figure out the wiring , i do 12v stuff all day at work

It should be easy. I think the plug is close to the old one to plug in.
