Help?
I'm also NW Austin.
Same intersection as Frank Z. What are you driving Frank? I'm sure I've seen you around. I'm driving a '68 green LWB with the bed off. She'll be back on the road next week. Mike

I need someone who has their truck wired for towing. We
are working on a fix for out LED taillights to make them work when you pull a trailer. The necessary criteria is they be 67-72 truck, wired for trailering, and you have a trailer, preferably a boat or toy hauler. I'd also like to have it original wiring if at all possible. The older the better. If you meet these criteria, and allow to use your truck to verify our fixes work, you will recevie a free set of our 67-72 taillights! Please email me @ joel_mac5@yahoo.com if you meet all the criteria, and are in the cen tex area. We will be needing your help in the next couple of weeks, and you'll receive you free set when we are done.

I have mine wired for trailering. Still has the original wiring harness. When I want to tow something I have to take the sport bumper off and replace it with the original steel bumper that has the integrated ball hole. I have a towbar for towing cars, that has the magnet lights that you stick on the towed vehicle. Same light setup as a typical trailer.

Due to a brand new baby, I can't commit to help with the trailer testing, but it sounds like Frank has what it takes.
I vote that whoever gets the LED lights has to arrange the Austin Area board meet.
