It's not a Class 5 but I've got a Putnam Class 3/4. 12,000 lb. weight distributing, 8,000 lb. weight carrying capacity. I had to take off the step bumper to get it to fit, a regular factory bumper would fit just fine with it.

Who carries the hidden hitches that hide behind the license plate?? I have plans of lowering my truck some, possibly putting a roll pan on it, and still use it for towing my race car.

I'm using a factory receiver hitch from an '82 Jimmy on my '72 C20, and it's tough as nails (actually, tougher than that). I've hitched up to farm equipment with obscene tongue weights with no problems. I'm not sure of the class rating, but the Jimmy had the trailer package, so it's probably Class IV? IIRC, I had to drill a couple of the holes, but it fits great.

That worked so well that I took the one off my '89 (V10) Blazer before I sold it. That hitch is now on the '69.

Both my trucks are running step bumpers, but since they worked with the factory non-step bumpers on the Jimmy/Blazer, they'll probably work on yours.
