Went to look at a 67 4X4 today
Drove through some of the worst weather up and down mountains in Northern MA tonight. One lane roads three inches of slush if I had had to stop I would have been sliding down backwards for about three miles. Anyway A little dissapointing. Thought I was going to see a 45,000 mi "farm truck". The truck had one of those everything but the headlights paint jobs. Kermit the frog green, I think. Peeling off of the ochre it looked like it had some sort of disease. The entire bottom 6" of the cab needed replaced. The doors were shot. The hood and fenders looked good but who kows what lurked under the kermit the frog green (i thought my backyard paint jobs were bad)
Someone had put a 73-87 bed on it which was junk. The frame was O.K. but will not be unless someone blasts and paints it within a year. I offered the guy 500 for it but I think He wanted more like a $1000. The 292 ran pretty good though.

Hood letters and fender emblems... Kermit the frog green. I can't remember if they had spared the door handles though. It was getting dark
