pictures of quadrajet pull off vacuum w/devorced choke
ok guy's i am ..doing a cam change and reinstalling a stock intake and quadrajet carb....i am thinking i need a TVS...temp.vacuum switch to release the pull off to let the rear open up.....after the engine is warm....
can someone post some pictures of how the set-up would be on a 69... or would be for the carb...i have.... see my picture.....thanks mark... hey how's that carb. look...just rebuilt it..... Last edited by rage'nrat638; 07-12-2007 at 07:05 AM. |

It will open without a TVS as the vacuum will drop when you go to wide open throttle.

I've got the same carb on mine, both back barrels kick open when you floor it. The carb I have is from a '76 2wd Blazer. Hey Mark your parts are going out tomorrow priority mail, you should get 'em Saturday.

I don't have a carb answer. I just wanted to complement you on the intake's finish. Looks all shiny and colorful. POR15 engine enamel?

The choke setup keeps the back two barrels from opening until the choke is warmed up. If you look, the small black bracket has a notch in it in that keeps the back two barrels from opening. Once the choke is open the small bracket moves forward to clear the pin on the shaft for the back two barrels.
