removal

just wondering... whats involved in takeing off a carb *holly* and replaceing it with a q jet? how hard is it to do? is it something that someone with a hains manual and mild auto work experence can do? thanks...matt

It should very easy to do. the two carbs have the same bolt pattern if i am not mistaken just remove the holley bolt on the q jet. as for the throttle linkage it should be the same. If anyonelse can help feel free to add.

Its not as bad as it seems. I would take pictures of the various locations of vacuum lines and linkages for reference in reassembly. If you don't have a camera then make some simple sketches or notes so you don't forget what was where. Haynes and Chilton manuals are very basic on these kinds of procedures.and don't offer much help.
