Question painting a radiator

hey guys i have a question ,i want to paint my radiator to make it look new ,what kind of paint do i use and will it hurt the radiator thanks,,,truckman

I'd paint it black, and definitely be sure to get some high temp paint... Black will transfer the heat better, but I am not sure what type a guy would use.

thanks Russle for hte info , the only high tempature paint i know of is engine paint,but i don't want to try something i don't know about,anybody know what kind off paint ?thanks,truckman

It doesn't require anything special. I have used everything from Krylon to PPG auto colors with good result....

Eastwood makes a radiator paint that won't affect the heat transfer properties of the core...

i used cheapy wally world flat black spray paint and my radiator works just fine

i used cheap spray paint, no problems with it at all, the radiator only gets around 210 degrees or so.
