Nice to meet you!
I'm new to this site and am a Chevy truck fan of all Generations. I live in Frewsburg New York. Got 2 kids and am engaged. I currently have 2 trucks. My daily driver is a 2002 Chevy 2500HD 4x4. My project is a 1982 Chevy K30. Here are the pics of my trucks.

Wow, I just noticed this post. I own operate http://www.73-87chevytrucks.com and my project website is http://www.captkaoscustoms.com I am a Systems Admin/Computer Programmer during the day working for Elpaso Energy. Below are the lastest pics of my ever ongoing project Su (1973 Chevy Stepside) and my future Daily Driver (1978 GMC Jimmy). Plans for Su included tilt frontend, Hilborn injected BBC, Nash 5 speed, and corner carving fun. Future plans for the Jimmy are twin turbocharged inline 6, 5 speed trans, and air suspension.

1975 silverado c10 1/2 ton w/ <2500 miles on a crate 383 stroker. 2 wd, but its ok, cause she's jsut a bad ass street truck. actually, this is my first car. all original interior and original paint, but with more clear coat. just got line-x on thursday, and it is SWEET. one pic is before line-x.

Ok I'll play too. I live in Cypress, Texas with my beautiful wife of 27 years and an awesome daughter that's 12 going on 20. I have a "few' trucks but most of them are just daily drivers.

1983 long bed reg cab, c10 silverado 454-bored 30 over, 8.6:1 compresion, weiand stealth intake, this cam , summit headers 1 7/8 primary, with 3 inch collector, 3 inch dual, with 5 dollar flow masters, Q-jet carb, 781 heads, with 2.20 and 1.90 vavles 700R4-rebuilt with all strong parts posible 2000stall TQ, lock up drive shaft out of a 1988, aluminum rear-ford 9, with 3.88 cogs, detroit locker, 31 spline axles, and converted to 5X5 bolt patter(chevy, ford was 5X5 1/2) stereo-pioneer head unit, rockwood eq, stinger pro cables, 2 pioneer 12s, and 2 pioneer 6X9s, cheap-o amps that sorta due the job

Bo, The animal in German is Das Tier, not Teir for the beast it literally is Der Bestie but Das Tier sounds better The Germans always call the nice cars "Der Hammer" or the hammer (duh)

here's my truck, I bet I win ugliest truck hands down!
Here's my project. Needs a motor. It's an 87 K20 with what looks like a 1/2 ton body. I just got it home, hope to start in on it soon. I also have an 85 K30 which I am planning on stripping for the dana 60 front, 14 bolt FF rear with 4.10s, TH400 and NP205. And, hydroboost. I don't know how tough it will be to swap all that stuff onto the K20, but we'll see when we get there. Definitely needs bodywork and paint. I am planning on a nice bright red, with a maroon cloth interior, newer steering wheel, and a sprayed in bedliner. Nothing too expensive or complicated. Maybe some cheap ARE black steel wheels. Something decent to drive to the dump, plow with, maybe horse around in the woods once in a while

87 1-ton 4WD crew LB
My truck since 1994 - being in the cruel and salty Northeast, it's just made it though another inspection by the grace of hairy bondo, and is quickly approaching the point of needing very major bodywork or a whole new body, if one can be found cheaper. I'm not overly fond of doing bodywork, so it's a matter of paying someone else...has about 134,000 miles on it.
I'd like to put a utility body on the back, but natually, other than the tailgate hinges, the back is busy hardly rusting at all, just to spite me. Since I got it it's had new fuel tanks (rotted out), new rear springs (broken by prior owner), new shocks and damper up front on general principles, new tie rods all around, new front U-joints last summer when it went all wierd and wobbly and new tie rods were not quite enough, though those were bad too, a new distributor shaft & sensor which cured a major stalling problem, and no doubt other parts I've forgotten. It's basically bone stock, other than the stupid "single-exhaust with dual tailpipe" turned into a single tailpipe during some muffler work. I had it painted more-or-less factory green (was tan) early on. It hauls a lot with no trouble.

5.7L TBI gasoline V8. The first year of fuel injection on these trucks, I believe; still passes emissions test with flying colors at the age of 18. Dribbles a little oil, but too expensive to fix given that it runs just fine, and doesn't amount to much leakage. Generally gets beween 10-12 MPG - I've got a high of 13.1 and a low of 8.9 (a brake was sticky on that tank). I'd love to swap in a small diesel for better mileage, but that does not appear like that would ever pay back the cost of doing it. 3 speed auto - it's either a TH350 or a TH400, I figured it out once, but don't recall now.
I really like the fact that it does not have dual rear tires. I have ugly mental pictures of hitting things with the bumped out rear end on a dually truck. I expect I'll keep it going - my present mechanic has a '73, and claims that the chassis on this is good to go for a long while yet, but he doesn't do bodywork (and would cost too much if he did). I'm reasonably happy to pay him, since I don't love wrenching all that much (well, mostly I don't love dirt, rust, old grease, lying in the mud, getting dripped on, and parts that don't come apart when they should without breaking - otherwise I like mechanical stuff just fine ;-).) Having a decent mechanic is a good thing; I don't have one I can trust with the motorcycle, and can't afford one for the backhoe, so I'm happy to have one for the truck, anyway. Just need to find a body place that will do work the way I want it done (solid, ugly, cheap). Too many places are geared to putting a beautiful shine on a pile of body filler and charging an arm and a leg to do so. Still, the price of even a moderately newer replacement will pay for a lot of bodywork, and I know what's what on this truck. I wonder if a short van body would go on in place of the cab?

Well I play to, I am 30yrs old been married to my Beautiful Wife for 9yrs. and I have 5 Kids. I will be working on my 76 2wd Jimmy more this year now that I have been in my House longer. I am currently looking for a New 73-75 Tub with no Rust. Then while I have the Body off I will Air Bag it. Then I want some 20" or 22" Boyd Coddington's or Foose Wheels. Then I will be getting a BIG BLOCK.

Michael here... Here's my 83 SWB,
moderately built 355, 700r4, 3.73 rear dif, lowered with 2 1/2" spindles, 2" coils and rear flip kit, riding on 15's... Currently she is my daily driver but within the next month or so (soon as my 89 is ready to go) I will start a year long (estimated) frame up rebuild, mostly consisting of wiring, brakes, bodywork and paint. Going to shave the door handles, mirrors, sidemarker lights, drip rails, fuel door (moving tank between the frame rails and relocating the fuel inlet) and frenched led tail/stop lights. She'll be painted a House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl with some very subtle flames behind the front wheel, similar to this truck I saw on ebay... The interior will be a light tan with leather bucket seats and a custom molded fiberglass console as well as a "swervin ervin" guage setup. While it's all apart, I'm thinking I may swap heads on the motor and swap the 3.73's for 4.11's...who knows...

Hey everyone, my name is Jim. Married, 3 kids under 3, and a civil engineer. Not a lot of time to work on anything anymore but I can dream...
My 84 2wd Silverado. Has a stock rebuilt '79 350 pushing a TH350 through a set of stock highway gears. Absolutely no rust. Until recently my daily driver. It needs a ton of work, first of all paint and the rest nickel and dime stuff but more than I have time to deal with. The daily driver now is this '79 Scottsdale 4x4. Has a stock 350 out of a '72 Nova and manual trans. This is the fourth car that the motor has been in, and it just keeps running strong. Except for the hood there's not a panel on it that doesn't have some rust. Its the winter driver. Too bad it hasn't snowed yet.
