WTB Dana 44 3/4 ton disk brake in Texas area
Looking for a 71-72 (or equivalent) Dana 44 front axle asm with disk brakes. Must be a 3/4 ton, 8 lug. Somewhere in the Texas, Arkanasas, or southern Missouri area.
Thanks

Not saying they're not around, (3/4 ton/3.73), but the easiest way to find a 3.73 D44 is to look in a 1/2 ton.
I think, (somebody correct me if I'm wrong), you just use your 3/4 ton stuff from/including the spindles on out to the hubs. If not it's from the balljoints out.

Hmm.
I have two, but neither are 8-lug. One is a '71 with 3.73 gears 100% complete with new calipers The other is a '77 with 3.07 gears 100% complete. I'm thinking of keeping the '71 model, but I might sell the '77. I might even consider switching the gears around. (the '77 is essentially the same as a '71, '72). However, this doesn't get around your 8-lug problem. Maybe you can find 8-lug hubs to put on. |
