No...as long as you're talking apples to apples, i.e. 2wd to 2wd, leaf spring to leaf spring, etc...

I WORKED AT THE GM TRUCK & BUS ASSEMBLY PLANT IN FLINT MICHIGAN IN THE MID. 80s. THEY BUILT TRUCKS,BLAZERS, & SUBURBANS. I SAW SEVERAL TIMES WHERE A TRUCK WAS GOING DOWN THE ASSY. LINE THAT WAS GMC ON ONE SIDE & CHEVROLET ON THE OTHER. JOHN

My wife's grandpa bought a new GMC in 1970. Drove it quite a while before he noticed it had chevy hubcaps on one side. Another guy I knew bought a new 72 GMC that had a chevy horn button. Must've happened quite often.
