50th Anniversary freaks What to do?

I recently bought a decent 68 with a 71K20 frame and a later 1 ton drive train.

I later discovered this body to be from a 50th anniversary C20 with lots of original options still attached, including gold and white triple bucket seat and a factory tach.

I feel the body should be kept together, since there is a 68 title with the truck. I have a spare 66 c20 frame which could be used to recreate the 396/turbo350 Camper special.

Any 50th Anniversary freaks out there? Trying to find the right home for this project. Contact me at akbat@gci.net for more info.

Looks like some nice parts, but without the original number matching frame, it is just a 68 Chev/parts.

Sounds like I need to let go of the sentimentality and dump the parts.

I`d find another drivetrain(not too hard, right?)and keep that the way you bought it.I`d think it would bring good money complete.Even if it`s a hybrid. That`s a cool truck.I`ve contemplated using 67-72 4wdrivetrains to put under earlier bodies. But,decided I can`t,too classic.I`d use more common 73+ drivetrain for this.Just my opinion.

Hey Ron, welcome to the board. You won't recognize my board name but I contacted you when you had your truck on e-bay. I'm a little surprised that somebody didn't bid on the parts, the prices were very reasonable in my opinion. I would say that 99% of that had to do with your location. If you really want to sell it I believe that the only way you would be able to do it whole is locally, unless you would be willing to ship and somebody would be willing to pay the shipping charges. If you can't do it that way I would suggest parting it out for shipping. You should easily be able to get what you were asking for the whole thing on e-bay with just the buckets and tach gauge. Do some research on the parts board to see what they go for, they go up for sale alot so you shouldn't have trouble finding something comparable. If you were within driving distance I would help you out but you have to be at least 4000 miles away. If you need any info or advice just PM me.

Good luck,
Larry

Did you already pull the truck apart? If you are going to sell the entire truck what do you want for it? I've always wanted to make that road trip! Are you willing to trade for what you need?

I'll sell the works for $1500 on a rolling 66 frame to get it there.
I think $2500 for shipping is steep. It should be more like 1000-1200. I'll check around.
