My gas tank is for a 78 Chevy van. Holds 31 gallons. Had to make my own hangers and brackets. Fuel hose connects up right in front of the rear spring hanger. Hangs kinda low, but I ain't plannin on goin off road with it. Oh yea, it fits right between the frame rails also.

I think my fuel cell is a bit bigger than yours. Mine fit fine. Mine is 20 gallons and there is no way I would go smaller.

fuel cell
You've heard "size don't matter"? well when it's a fuel tank is DOES matter! I relocated mine to the rear also. I wanted to keep enough room to install a receiver hitch. I used a tank from a chevy Luv but modified it slightly (it hung too low) well when I started driving the truck and filled it up the first time it only held about 8 1/2 gallons! I definitely will change that because 8 1/2 gal doesn't last long. I relocated the filler behind the left side marker light after removing a portion inside the bed.

Blazer/Burb tanks are like 20-21 Gallons and they fit perfect as the trucks and Blazer/burbs use the same rear frame dimensions. Many of our trucks were fitted with saddle tanks by dealers or aftermarket due to the fuel consumption of these gas hogs. A 20 Gallon tank is ok but a 25-30 is nicer for trips etc. All depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
