Roll Bar Question ?

I was curious if anyone had any specs / measurments of roll bars. I have a friend who is an excellant welder and will do it for cost of materials.

I had mine made here locally. I made some measurements to show what I wanted, but I ended up taking the blazer to him (With the top on) so I would know that I could still use the hardtop. At the bottom (base of the rollbar) I measured 64'' and total height at 41.5'' (not too tall to allow for rollbar pads). I asked for the bars to go up straight from the bottom 19'' and then taper in with a slope of 4'' to meet the top. He then made the bars connect to the wheel tubs. The only complaint I have with mine is the bars mount on the wheel tubs too close to the sides. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the chrome trim that holds the side panels on the top. I would take the blazer to him with the top on and make sure everything fits. The measurements are just what I had down before it was made. The blazer is at the bodyshop and I do not have the exact measurements from the bar itself.

BTW - I saw that you got some truck doors so the fact that I haven't set my repop doors yet to tell you what I think of them probably isn't important. Anyway I still haven't mounted the doors so I will report on their fit when I do.

This is a smittybuilt roll bar, I also have the windshield frame section for it. It a larger diameter then stock. I have been meaning to take it off but I find it useful for holding tools, my shop light, and what not at the moment.

Mine is factory, but I shortened the rear legs to mount to the top of the wheele wells. Will be up for sale this summer too.
