where to buy - VACUUM SWITCH
Please help. I'm wondering where to buy a
Vacuum distribution switch/valve. (it's the one that mounts to the top of the heater/AC controls and controls vacuum to the different air doors) mine was ruined when the heater shut-off valve (in line on heater hose) failed and sent coolant through the vacuum line to the switch/valve. the local parts stores can't get one. the dealer says it was discontinued in 1985. LMC, Golden, Harmons and others say they don't have one either. so far, the only way I've found to get one is by buying the entire control assembly for $130-$180! PLEASE ADVISE thanks in advance |

I need one of these also, So someone plaese help!!!
There is a GM p/n on the switch so GM may be able to get one. My truck isn't running right now so it has not been a priority for me. |

That switch only operates the heater control valve and the fresh air control. Both can easily be bypassed if it is hot outside, so there is no reason not to enjoy your A/C till you find one.

http://s-c-t-p.com/ for $2. it only had 2 vacuum nipples while my switch had the elusive "third nipple". so I tee'd the hose to the heater valve in with the air door hose. we'll see... J |
