was wondering why the ac on my 94 will sometimes work and other times not. 2 days ago on my way to work it just started blowing warm air. then on the way home that night after trying 3 or 4 times it came on. did the same thing today also but this morning it came back on after about 20 min. any ideas??

Compressor not engaging? Is the charge up to snuff? A low charge could keep the compressor from coming on.

when it works it's blowing very cold air. I'll have to check and make sure the compressor is kicking on in the morning.

A low charge can blow too cold. Put some gages on it and see what the high and low side read.

The wire connector to he low pressure switch on the acuumulator gets loose all the time on those. I seen it countless times. the next time it stops blowing cold, wiggle this connector. If the compressor starts when you wiggle the connector replace it and the loww side switch. It just unscrews and you will not loose any freon (has a schrader valve).

not to get to far off the subject - but
what's a good price for a set of AC manifold gauges?
