Has anyone actually done these before. What do you do? put it in a typewriter or print onto it somehow. Put it out in the sun for a couple months to let it "age". I might be interested if I knew it was do-able and it might actually look authentic when finished.

You use IBM-type,as GM did. But,I can only think of two reasons to want it faded and old(original looking).1)to match original patina of original,un-restored truck. But,if it`s that nice un-restored,why would the VIN-spec sheet need replaced? 2)counterfeit.I bought one at Carlisle in`90,haven`t used it.I was telling the vendor how my truck was highly optioned and how I had used another G-box door to chrome to keep the original intact to show authenticity. That`s when I realized these two(one black/one white)beautiful, loaded, low mile, unrestored, immaculate CheyenneSupers a guy had could be restored clones.Either way, they were worth alot of money, very nice.It would just be nice to be sure of the authenticity when deciding to buy.I`m not bashing these stickers.I have one.Just wanted to make comment on the"ageing"thing. It`s like a thoroughbred thing.
